Visit Adam's Apple Orchard & Country Store for Fall Fun!

We blinked … and suddenly summer is coming to a close. Poudre Valley School District students head back to class next Tuesday, just a few leaves have begun to turn yellow, and Starbucks is counting down the days to everything pumpkin spice. Although we love summer, fall is a gorgeous time in northern Colorado. It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the cooler weather. If you’re looking for a fun autumn activity that the whole family can enjoy, let us introduce you to Adam’s Apple Orchard & Country Store!

Adam’s Apple Orchard, previously owned by Masonville Orchards, is a U-pick apple orchard in Ault, Colorado. Mike Biwer has fulfilled his childhood dream of working on an orchard by purchasing the U-pick operation from Masonville Orchards. He left the corporate world and his home in Wisconsin to enjoy a much more outdoorsy lifestyle in northern Colorado. He and his partner, Will Perez, have been hard at work preparing for the first season of Adam’s Apple Orchard.

The orchard also has a small country store. The products carried are seasonal and include different jams, jellies, salsas, and cider. There is even a do-it-yourself cider press. Children (or adults!) can learn how to press apples to make their own cider in a hands-on way. If you decide to go pick apples one day, we invite you to also explore the charming shop.

Adam’s Apple Orchard has over 150 different varieties of apples in addition to some pears and plums. Because the growing seasons of apples differ between varieties, there are new types ready for picking each week throughout the fall. If you’re curious as to what types are available now, Adam’s Apple asks that you email them for an up-to-date list of current fruits. The best part about the ever-changing availability is that there is always something new – so you can come back again and again!

Adam’s Apple Orchard & Country Store believes in the power of local and that people should know where their food is coming from. At Adam’s Apple, you can see where your food is growing and meet the farmers that care for it. They also source from growers throughout Colorado for foods such as cherries and peaches from the Western Slope.

The grand opening for Adam’s Apple is on August 23. The public is free to come and pick their own apples and explore the country store. Adam’s Apple is open from 12-6 p.m. on Thursday, 9 a.m. -6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. -4 p.m. on Sunday. Follow Adam’s Apple on Facebook or Instagram or visit their website for more information and updates on fruit availability. Come experience the apple orchards for a fun, relaxing, educational, and delicious day. After all, the apples are Good to the Core!
