DID YOU KNOW? BBB Charity Accreditation helps donors make informed giving decisions and promotes high standards of conduct among organizations that solicit contributions from the public. We evaluate nonprofits that solicit for funds in Northern Colorado and Wyoming against a comprehensive set of standards developed by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
The 20 Standards for Charity Accountability are a baseline set of best practices and review four key areas of interest to donors:
Once evaluations are completed, BBB issues public reports available on bbb.org to assist donors in making informed judgments about where they choose to make donations.
Charity Accreditation is free for all nonprofits in Northern Colorado and Wyoming. Nonprofits that meet all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability are promoted by BBB as a BBB Accredited Charity for free. BBB Accredited Charities have the option to use the BBB Accredited Charity Seal in their marketing and communication efforts by investing in a $100 annual licensing fee.
