The month of September marks a noticeable shift between seasons. As the mornings hold an extra crisp in the air and the evening temperatures begin to drop, it is tempting to daydream of white, snowcapped mountains.
If you are like some of us in the Mantooth office, stoke levels for the ski season are slowly increasing. Now is the best time of year to start gearing up at one of our favorite spots in town – Outpost Sunsport. Currently they have season ski and snowboard packages available in a variety of sizes for the entire family to rent.
Another great opportunity to gear up for the season is at their annual Swap Sale coming up in October! Shop from an array of heavily discounted and gently used skis, snowboards, helmets, snowshoes, winter apparel and much more.
2019 Swap Sale – Here is how it works!
You can think of the Swap Sale as the ultimate winter garage sale. Amongst the ski and snowboards lovers in northern Colorado, this is one of the most highly anticipated pre-season sales where community members can buy and sell gently used ski and snowboard equipment and winter apparel during the following timeframe…
Gear Drop Off Dates: Thursday, October 10 and Friday, October 11
*All entry fees will be donated to Respite Care in Fort Collins!
It’s time to purge! If you have any gently used winter equipment or apparel that you no longer use or need, bring them over to Outpost Sunsport (931 E. Harmony R, Fort Collins, CO 80525). The staff will then help you price each item and asses what they think it could sell for. It will cost $2 per item entered into the Swap Sale.
Gear Sale Dates: Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13
It’s time to shop! Regardless of whether you entered items into the Swap Sale to sell or not, you can swing by and browse the sale. This is a great opportunity to find gently used gear for kids who have outgrown everything from last seasons. Or if you are just getting into the sport, it is a great way to find affordable gear and apparel too!
If you have items to sell through the Swap Sale, you will receive 100% of the selling price in the form of store credit to be used at Outpost Sunsport OR you can opt to receive 50% of the selling price in cash.
