The end of a local media era happened this morning – The Good Morning Guys from K99.1fm are laying their mics down and moving on to new adventures.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Brian Gary and Todd Harding from what I want to call the “early years.” Actually stating the number of years (30) has a way of making one feel so much older than they truly feel they are. Over these multiple decades of entertaining northern Colorado, Brian and Todd have promoted our clients – shared time with them during live remotes, made them laugh at golf tournaments and made them cry listening on the air during the 28 Hours of Hope broadcast. The time they have given and will continue to give to local nonprofits is above and beyond any expectations given to them.  This is just one of the reasons they are so appreciated in our community.

Every day they went on the air, their purpose was to simply do their part in making northern Colorado a better place.  The first time I was interviewed by the media was led by Brian Gary as he walked me through the entire process. To this day I still thank him for drilling into my head not to be afraid of the mic and to get real close and personal.  I was blessed to work with this team hundreds of times over the last thirty years promoting clients and community events. I’m even more blessed to call these two friends. The dedication to their industry, their community and to each other is a great love story.

Todd will remain in radio which is a big win for our community.  Brian, I wish you great success in your new adventure. I know you will Kick Ass every step of the way.
