With a strong, experienced, and kind team, they have helped meet our needs every step of the way.
The story of Palmer Properties begins in the ‘70s with a flower shop and a young couple. After immigrating from Greece in 1973 to join the family florist business in Boulder, Spiro Palmer and his wife Angela relocated to Fort Collins to open what is now known as Palmer Flowers. The family-owned property management company began in 1978 when Spiro Palmer invested in his first real estate venture downtown. Now, 42 years later, the company has grown to manage over 1 million square feet of real estate across northern Colorado, even extending into Wyoming. Their portfolio consists of retail, office, and restaurant space in Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Longmont, Colorado and Laramie, Wyoming.
Both of Spiro’s sons, Aki and Jim, are a part of the family business. Aki works as a Director/Partner of Palmer Investment & Development and a Director at Cushman & Wakefield. His role allows him to oversee the entire portfolio of commercial and retail development and investments. Jim is also a Director/Partner and works as an employing broker, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations.
Within Palmer Properties are three divisions – investment and development, commercial property management, and construction services for their existing tenants. The company is rooted in three core philosophies: accountability, relationships and integrity, and entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork. After over 40 years in the industry, Palmer has clearly excelled in all aspects of commercial realty. But as tenants, we’ve seen their dedication to client relationships in action.
At Mantooth, we have witnessed, first-hand, the commitment that Palmer has to their tenants! In the office space that we have occupied, Palmer Properties has used their creative and constructive eye for reworking space to fit our exact needs by creating room for each sector of our company to thrive in. Their brilliant approach to adjusting their indoor spaces at each property to meet each tenant’s needs increases the value to their offerings.
The care doesn’t stop after the move-in date, though. Palmer has a few handymen on staff that care for the buildings and any issues that may arise. Whether it’s a leaky sink or a malfunctioning A/C unit, Michael shows up at the door, smiling and happy to help. He is always cheerful, loves to engage with our staff, and quickly takes care of any problems.
Working with Palmer Properties has been a delight and it’s our privilege to shine a light on them this month as a featured client!
