It’s the first week of spring and you’re already almost done with it! Instead of wishing for warmer weather or worrying about all that cleaning you have to get done, take a quick glance at this week’s Friday Hacks to help make your work week a bit more manageable.

1. Google Hangouts

This Google application and chrome extension is the best for team and personal communication. Used heavily by Mantooth’s own staff, Google Hangouts includes tools such as instant messaging, video chat, and even screen sharing, which allows you to share and see selected screens with others.

2. Dry Off that Dust

Have you ever noticed that your computer and TV screens are always dusty? That’s because they are electrically charged and attract dust. Instead of leaving it there to accumulate, a simple way to remedy this is to wipe down those surfaces with dryer sheets.

Because dryer sheets are designed to reduce static cling, they’ll actually remove dust on your electronics instead of just moving it around and can prevent new dust from settling for several days. Now you can work diligently, or procrastinate, in utter clarity!

3. Start by Stopping

Do you have a “to do” list? Chances are you probably do. It seems that everyone has ever-growing lists of the things they need to accomplish in their day, week, year, etc. The need for organization and writing down tasks and goals is important; however, have you ever considered creating a “stop doing” list?

By practicing the same discipline to focus on eliminating all the extraneous junk or unproductive tendencies will make you all the more successful and balanced. So whether it is to stop watching Netflix right before bed or getting off Facebook when at work, creating a list of things to stop doing will only make that “to do” list less stressful.
