Building season is upon us! As the warming days become longer, spring is one of NoCO Custom Homes’ – a local custom home builder in northern Colorado – favorite times of year. For many, the winter months are spent conceptualizing and dreaming up what their “dream home” might look like. Now is the time to start bringing those dreams to fruition.

What distinguishes a brand? What gives a brand value? Establishing brand standard colors, fonts and tone of voice are some of the many ways to distinguish the look a feel of a company. But many companies have a pulse that extends beyond the visual appeal of a brand.
As consumers have become increasingly more educated on the products and services they choose, part of the buying equation now includes social give-back. What is your brand doing to align with serving the greater good? How are you connecting to the community beyond offering material goods and services?
The Human Bean of Northern Colorado is one of the most giving of our clients. Being a locally owned business, The Human Bean prides itself on engaging with members of the community and supporting, “organizations that combat against critical issues faced by those who live here.” Here’s just a snippet of ways ‘The Bean’ involves itself in our community:

Mantooth takes pride in being part of the Fort Collins community. Because of the many incredible and dedicated people that exist here, “FoCo” is a great place to live, play, and work. That’s why we are so excited to be a part of the We R Foco program. We R Foco is a group of locally owned businesses – Fort Collins owned businesses – that give back to this community, whether it be in the form of charities, local event sponsorships, or community outreach programs.
When you’re discussing a new promotion with your team, where does the conversation start? We bet it’s with online marketing. That’s no surprise. News is telling us traditional media is dead; that social media campaigns and online ads will give you the best results. Digital advertising is great in that it is cost-effective and delivers results in real time. However, we’re going to give it to you straight: People are still watching TV, reading magazines and really aren’t online 24/7.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Brian Gary and Todd Harding from what I want to call the “early years.” Actually stating the number of years (30) has a way of making one feel so much older than they truly feel they are. Over these multiple decades of entertaining northern Colorado, Brian and Todd have promoted our clients – shared time with them during live remotes, made them laugh at golf tournaments and made them cry listening on the air during the 28 Hours of Hope broadcast. The time they have given and will continue to give to local nonprofits is above and beyond any expectations given to them. This is just one of the reasons they are so appreciated in our community.
Every day they went on the air, their purpose was to simply do their part in making northern Colorado a better place. The first time I was interviewed by the media was led by Brian Gary as he walked me through the entire process. To this day I still thank him for drilling into my head not to be afraid of the mic and to get real close and personal. I was blessed to work with this team hundreds of times over the last thirty years promoting clients and community events. I’m even more blessed to call these two friends. The dedication to their industry, their community and to each other is a great love story.
Todd will remain in radio which is a big win for our community. Brian, I wish you great success in your new adventure. I know you will Kick Ass every step of the way.
May your 2019 be filled with laughter, joy, love and – of course – a glitzy desktop background to greet you every day. Download our free January wallpaper below.
